No one likes to use their family as an excuse but since family is FAMILY, they come first. So if you really need the day off, family excuses must work! Sound worried and concerned and your employers will believe you, they don't have much choice.

1. I dropped my grandparents off before work today at the store, and as I was leaving, my grandparents were rear ended by a car. So I helped them into the car and I'm going to take them to the hospital and when they are done, take them home because they can't walk from the accident.

2. One of my family members and his/her family were evicted from their house and I have to help them move out today or tomorrow they lose everything inside their house.

3. I can't come into work today, the babysitter called in sick so I must stay home and take care of the sick kids.

4. I'm can't make it into work today, my brother/sister is stranded 4 hours away with no money and no form of making it back here, so I am stuck going to pick him/her up before it gets dark and dangerous out.

5. I'm not going to make it today, my sibling/child has a serious rash all over and I'm responsible for them going to the hospital or doctors.

6. My child/family member was bullied at school and today I have a meeting with the principle and the bully's parents.
